Modern Theatre dance is an invaluable combination of modern dance, jazz, contemporary and ballet. Modern dance is usually found in Musical Theatre productions and is known for its theatrical qualities. This style is highly energetic using travelling steps, kicks, leaps and turns, all of which require strength and flexibility. At Julia’s Dance Studio we work towards exams with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. Students begin by learning natural movements then as students progress they then begin to learn exercises, amalgamations and dances that enable them to become disciplined and versatile dancers, building core strength and flexibility. Modern Theatre Dance is offered from Primary school age through to adults and  compliments classical ballet training perfectly.
